We are an international network of cochlear implant surgeons, audiologists, speech pathologists and hearing researchers that are interested in the barriers facing widespread access to cochlear implants and other hearing devices in emerging countries. Our goal is to provide a platform for multidisciplinary discussions of solutions towards improving disparities in the delivery of prosthetic hearing devices.
A dedicated issue on CI in emerging countries will be published in June 2018 issue of Current Opinion in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery.
Current Opinion in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery is published by Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins (London) and contains brief reviews of literature published during the past year, along with brief annotations of selected papers. The journal has a worldwide circulation as well as an impact factor of 1.838. It is also indexed on PubMed and the editors are keen to include contributors who have an international standing.
